The 2017 Edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz is ongoing, and as expected, the drama has been worth waiting for. One name that followers of the competition will not forget anytime soon is the name, Gadasu.
After a sterling performance in the preliminary stages, St. Peter’s Senior High was pitched against Mfantsipim and Kwahu Ridge SHTS in the 1/16th stage. That was where the name Gadasu gained legendary status.
Before the last round of the contest, Mfantsipim was in a comfortable lead with a 12-point gap. Like a bad dream for the red and black boys, Gadasu John-Edwin answered all four riddles correctly for 3 points each, bridging the gap and ending the contest in a tie. Many Mfantsipim boys and past students had their hearts in their rectums as the quiz mistress, Dr. Elsie Effah Kaufmann read the riddle that was to break the tie. Mfantsipim got the tiebreaking riddle correct and so won. Notwithstanding St. Peter’s SHS’ loss, the magic Gadasu performed in that last round was one that would win the hearts of many Ghanaians including the leading members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking to bombonews.com a few hours ago, Mr Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah aka General Mosquito revealed that the party had decided to field the brilliant young guy so that he works some magic for the party in the next general elections.
“It is obvious that he is a special gentleman and we need his services to win back power come 2020,” General Mosquito stated.
It is currently unclear if Gadasu will accept the offer. Bombonews.com will keep you posted on any further developments.
